Middle names

We were have a conversation in the cars with Faith and Shawn. We got talking about names and De-Ann asked Faith what her middle name was and before Faith got a chance to answer, Faith pipped up “DeGraaf!” We had to tell him that was his last name. Then De-Ann asked Faith again and said she didn’t know, so De-Ann told her it was “Helen.” Faith repeated it a few times and then smiled.

Then De-Ann turned to Shawn and asked him what his middle name was and he said without batting an eye “Spiderman!” We all laughed and told him it was “Michael.” Then we got the kids to say the whole name out loud. It was cute listening to them.

Somehow we got on the topic of our names and when the kids figured out what my name is they started saying it a lot and then laughed over and over again. Too much. Then I asked them “What’s Mommy’s name?” Shawn said “Mommy!” We both laughed. Then we heard Faith say “Mommy DeGraaf.”

Yes, it was a very interesting conversation. The things my kids say are hilarious. And when I get home I try my best to remember them so I can either post them here on my blog or tweet them. Sometimes I even tweet them right there and then on my cell just so I won’t forget.
