My blog in review 2012

The WordPress.com stats helper monkeys prepared a 2012 annual report for this blog.

Here’s an excerpt:

600 people reached the top of Mt. Everest in 2012. This blog got about 10,000 views in 2012. If every person who reached the top of Mt. Everest viewed this blog, it would have taken 17 years to get that many views.

iBand

One of my friends showed this to me the other day and I had to share it with you! A church in Atlanta, North Point, creatively put together a band, iBand, where all they use is iPads and iPhones. They even have the only singer using his iPhone with a voice synthesizer. Enjoy!

End of the world

As many of you know the end of the world is supposed to happen on Friday, Dec 21, 2012. This marks the conclusion of the 5125 year “Long Count” Mayan calendar. And of course doomsday-mongers are predicting a cataclysmic end to the history of Earth.

Some say we are going to run into a nearby black hole, others say it might be a new era in human history, still others think Armageddon is coming. My younger brother thinks its going to be a flood of some type so he is leaving tomorrow for Foymount, the highest populated point at 500 metres above sea level.

Of course I don’t believe anything is going to happen except that I will have a day off, like every other Friday. Actually I am looking forward to it.

I had to include this image in my post because I thought it was hilarious and shows the ridiculousness of the whole thing. Look closely for the humour in it. Hint: notice Dec 21 then the few dates following.

Going down memory lane with Faith

Last night just before Faith went to bed, Faith and I started looking at all the pictures I took of her when we were first introduced to her (6 months old) right up until today. I took lots of pictures.

Just before she went to bed we started watching some of the videos I took of Faith as well. It was fun remembering how small she was and how that little baby in the pictures and videos is Faith, the big girl sitting right beside me.

Below is my favourite video of Faith as a little baby, she was probably just over one year old. And below the video is the most recent picture of of Faith (in the glasses) and Shawn (to her left) with their friends Charly & Titus. Big difference. Enjoy…

Faith and Dora

We were watching Dora the Explorer with the Faith and Shawn. If you know anything about watch this TV show Dora talks to those watch all the time. The show is very interactive. Faith loves this. Shawn would rather just watch and listen.

This afternoon we started season four and Dora has stepped up her instructions. Faith loves it! Here is the conversation Faith had with Dora…

Dora: stand up and start tip toeing.

Faith: get off the coach and started walking towards the TV. [De-Ann and I watched and smiled].

Dora: stand up and start tip toeing.

Faith: I am! As if she was annoyed that Dora told her what to do again. Then Faith starting tip toeing across the room. [So cute]

Silly things Christians say

As you can see from this video we as Christians say silly things and much of it is what I call ‘Christianize.’ Hopefully when you watch you will see how silly the things are you say and stop saying them or at least catch yourself as you say them. Enjoy…
