My observant daughter

This happened a few days ago when Shawn was really sick. The kids had poured out all the blocks on the floor and it was supper time and time to clean up. Because Shawn wasn’t feeling well I started to put the blocks away for him. Truth be told I put them all away. I think he might have put one or two blocks away.

So now it’s Faith’s turn to put her blocks away. She is stalling to see if we will just tell her to go to her chair to eat. So I say to her, “Faith, come here and put your blocks away.” She responds negatively and then I say, “Faith, come right now. Your brother cleaned up his blocks so now you need to.”
Faith responds, “No he didn’t. You cleaned them up Daddy!”

I turned to De-Ann with my mouth wide open, like a cartoon character whose mouth stays open and lower lip falls to the ground. We both thought the same thing, we can’t fool her anymore. She sees everything and now she can articulate it. Yikes!
