Visiting Opa…or should I say Santa

December 14, 2011 at 8:57 PM Leave a comment

Last Friday we visited my Dad (Opa to the kids) and they got to play with Mega Blocks, sit in fuzzy chairs, read books with Opa and just run around the house. My sister gave the kids and my Dad some Santa hats to wear. You can see the pictures of all the fun they had while there. They just love their Opa. Should have heard them how excited they were when they found out we were going to visit my Dad. On our way to see my Dad we stopped off at McDonald’s (the kids’ favourite eating establishment). As we were leaving there Faith looked over at Shawn and said “Shawn it’s Opa-time!” I just smiled and then we grabbed each others’ hands and we walked out the front door together. Jumped in the car and they both started singing as we left to see my Dad.

BTW…the kids are sitting on Opa’s lap, not Santa…honest. My Dad is not Santa, he just looks like him, especially with the glasses at the end of his nose.
