Day 24-27 of the reno

Sorry, it’s been awhile since I have updated you on our reno. The main reason is because it has been very slow and it is hard to see any progress because they are doing little changes and updates. But I did keep track of the progress and took pictures along the way (just for you). haha.

Below you will see many pictures of their progress. They are mainly doing the drywall and continue to do so. But they did some other significant things in the past week. Things like finished all the wiring, they even hooked up a few potlights so we can see how bright it will be. It’s going to be bright. De-Ann is going to love it. Almost all the ceilings have drywall on them and the holes are either made or drawn in to prepare for the final product–light! They also have started to put in the pipes for the bathroom (vanity and toilet) and the shower is still waiting for a part…uggh! Other than that, they are currently mudding and sanding the drywall. Soon to be primed and painted. Then they finished the fireplace tiles, the bathroom and the last thing to do is the flooring. Oh ya, almost forgot they cut the hole for the window to the brick. Once the window is in they will cut the hole to outside.

Pictures 1 & 20: the light to the basement finally works. Pictures 2-3: the ceilings are drywalled. Pictures 4-8 & 11-12: walls are all drywalled. Pictures 9-10: pipes for the bathroom are in including the ceiling fan. Pictures 13-19: the mudding & edging has started on many of the walls and bulkheads. Yeah!!!

What a great web log. I spend hours on the net reading blogs, about tons of various subjects. I have to first of all give praise to whoever created your theme and second of all to you for writing what i can only describe as an fabulous article. I honestly believe there is a skill to writing articles that only very few posses and honestly you got it. The combining of demonstrative and upper-class content is by all odds super rare with the astronomic amount of blogs on the cyberspace.

My theme is one of the free ones from WordPress. I like it because it is simple but does the job. Thank you for your kind comment about my writing and posts. You are very kind.
