True prayer warriors

Tonight was my first official “assignment” at City Centre. I led the prayer meeting while Deric is on holidays. We prayed together through 1 John 2:15-17:

15Do not love the world or the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world—the desires of the flesh and the desires of the eyes and pride in possessions—is not from the Father but is from the world. 17And the world is passing away along with its desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

The people who attended prayed fervently for everything from those who they know that have “stopped loving God” or have replaced their love for God with their love for the world’s systems and attitudes. And we also thanked God that even though the world will eventually come to the end HE will not, and neither will his will.

These attendees are true prayer warriors that continue to pray for many requests daily. It is so exciting to see people praying for each other with their whole being. God be glorified.
