Well, I am here to tell you this car did us very well. It lasted 10 years with over 300,000 kilometres and only minor repairs until only recently where it has been running on 3 cylinders and the engine light has been on for over 5 months.
Yes, it chugs like a lawn mowers and vibrates uncontrollably when it sits idle but it has done the job very well. Never has De-Ann been stranded because it wouldn’t start or it died.
Today we said good-bye to our old friend.
But what surprised me was after all these years all we got for our old friend was $200. Wow, I remember buying the car brand new back in 2002 for $18,000.00 plus taxes and fees which brought it quite a bit over $20,000.00 and after 10 years I only got $200 for it. It is true what they say, cars drop their value as soon as you drive them off the lot.
