Why?

Today at supper time I told Faith to finish what was in her bowl. She asked “treat Daddy?” I told her “no, not tonight. DJ brought you ice cream last night. That’s enough treat for the whole week.” [DJ so graciously came to visit our kids last night and brought all of us a ice cream sundae from McDonald's. Then he took the kids downstairs to play with them while we relaxed upstairs. So kind of him]. Then she shocked me with…
“WHY?”
De-Ann tried to not laugh, but Faith saw her and continued to say why over and over again in between laughs. Finally I said “who taught you that word?” She just giggled on and on.
I can’t believe she is already saying “why.” I was hoping not to hear that word until she was at least 8. I guess I was wrong. What’s next?
